Tequila`s Mexican Restaurant in Cortez

Their seafood enchilada was a joke. It tasted like ketchup and mayo mixed with cheap shrimp. Beef colorado was very tough. Awful food and slow service

Tequila’s was one of the only places still open when we rolled into town at 8:30 and we were so glad. Not only were they willing to serve us but the shredded beef taco special food was DELICIOUS! I can’t recommend this spot highly enough.

Really good salsa and guacamole. Service was excellent. Fajitas were very tasty. Big jumbo margarita yummy but a bit expensive. Overall good experience

Very cute restaurant with good food at reasonable prices

Wow. Every aspect of my experience here was five stars. Impeccable service, very clean restaurant and restrooms, attentive staff, fresh margs, and amazing food! We got the burrito from the sea and pollo nuevo Mexico. Both dishes were incredible, but the burrito was out of this world amazing. The sauce tasted like something from a fine dining restaurant, truly special. This is the spot to try if you find yourself craving Mexican food near Cortez!

From the outside it seems like any other Mexican restaurant. Once the plates come, everything changes. The servings are huge and delicious. When they say "a side of" that is a real understatement.

Didn’t know where to go while visiting Mesa Verde....I eat a lot of Mexican and this place was great. All the kids loved it, had great service.

Very big portions at a great price! Very attentive to your sodas or teas that start getting low. About 5 different people asked us, and it wasn't their table! Awesome!!

Everything was delicious! Adult beverage was fantastic! Amazing salsa! It has a lot of cilantro so if you aren't a fan, I wouldn't recommend that. But everything else was amazing, even dessert was to die for!

I don't always eat meat, but if I did, I would get their carne asada. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Is it in Mesa Verde national Park, looking for a good place for dinner, saw the reviews on this place and decided to stop in. We hadn’t even sat down when our server brought us chips and salsa. They also gave us Mexican coleslaw with the chips, and it was excellent, never had anything like it before. Their serving sizes are super large, we all had food left in our plates. They literally had two people that circled the dining room refilling water, chips and salsa. Their service was incredible, there was lots of servers bustling around, and helping each other. Very kid friendly... all 3 kids loved it. Affordable prices too! Outstanding all the way around. Stop reading reviews and just come here!! 👏

Amazing food, amazing people, wonderful atmosphere ♡ worth every penny

We eat here whenever we get a chance. Food is always delicious and service is always great. Waiters and other staff are good at checking on us and keep our drinks and chips and salsa filled.

We dragged into this place after a long day in Mesa Verde on the recommendation of hotel staff, and our expectations weren't high. This place blew us away! My mom, 12yr old son & I had the mixed fajitas (see photos) and were served the MOST INCREDIBLE micheladas w/a hot/sweet/sour crust around the top of the glass and a tamarind-crusted straw; honestly the best michelada I've had.

Been here last time through. Came back with the wife. Great service! The wife says there is a good feeling from the staff. Clean. Interesting atmosphere. Nice music. Had the super burrito and it was very good. Filled me to the brim. I will be back.

Must see the FREE museum. More to see than what is outside. Loved it.

We were passing through town on our way to 4 corners, and needed dinner. This place looked inviting and got good reviews on google, so we went. The service was great. Friendly people. Fast. Food tasted great. Inexpensive. Clean.

The portions are large, the prices are really fair, the place is clean, and the food is tasty. However, what REALLY makes this place shine is the friendlyness of the staff. We were greeted when we came in and each and every waiter was personable and in a good mood. Moreover, when I ordered the quesadillas without meat, my waiter told me that it would be no problem to add mushrooms or vegetables instead. I totally recommend this place!

There service was incredible, first off.The food was as you can see, very classic and delicious.The entire staff wouldn’t let our drinks go empty and our food cane out pretty quick too, oh I guess our margaritas never went empty either and the house Rita’s are strong. I enjoyed my time spent here a lot and will return for sure!!

The BEST Chili Colorado my husband has tasted! Our margaritas were great as well. My tacos funditos was very flavorful and the beans and rice were spot on. Great customer service and very accommodating. My pictures were of almost empty plates, sorry!

So good!! My group was famished after a long day of hiking (tourists in the area), and this hit the spot!! Super fast service, and amazing staff. We also want to give a shout-out to Daniel for supplying us with endless chips and salsa at top speed!! Literally was back in 1.5 seconds! He was very attentive to our table. Thank you for a great dinner!

Excellent shrimp fajitas, very friendly, mask-wearing staff, signs posted requested patrons wear masks when not eating or drinking (Thank you for common sense!), clean, and drinks refilled promptly without asking!

I give this place 3 stars because the atmosphere is great & the service was spot on! They were quick to refill anything like drinks or chips. The servers were friendly & the decor is really nice. The reason I took 2 stars off is because the food wasn’t the best it was just bland. Maybe we just came at a bad time since there’s so many good reviews but it just wasn’t the best.

Favorite restaurant in Cortez. Everytime I'm in town I eat here because no matter what you order it never disappoints! My personal favorites are the Molcajete, carne asada fajitas, chipotle chicken burrito and carnitas de res. Their chips and salsa are perfect The staff is very friendly too. You won't regret it!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Food is excellent and authentic ( the mole is delicious). I especially appreciate being able to speak Spanish when I go to a restaurant that serves food from my country. It was fantastic and more food than any of us could eat!
